Dear Zouk-Friends,
It is our pleasure to invite you to our ZOUK-FAMILY-MEETING – “Día de los muertos Edition” with Jade and Wilson from 10 th of October to 2nd of November 2025 in Dresden! We are looking forward to a colorful event with a lot of dancing with you!
Look forward to:
- Zouk-Workshops (Intermediate/Advanced– and Masterlevel)
- Zouk-Parties (theme party on Saturday) including drinks and snacks
- Social Events like christmas market, Welcome-Dinner, Brunch&Dance and Relax-Workshop, surprises and more
- Welcome-Workshop on Friday and Open-Level on Saturday
- As was the case last year, and much appreciated by you, we will once again offer two levels on Saturday:
Intermediate/Advanced and Master Level
- On Sunday, Sarah will enchant us again with a relaxation workshop.

The master class is set above the advanced level and is therefore aimed specifically at teachers from the local Zouk communities as well as experienced dancers of a very high level.
It is assumed that complex turns and all head movements are mastered safely and that you can quickly grasp more complicated sequences. If you have already regularly attended advanced workshops at various events and festivals and they were more easy than challenging, then you have come to the right place. If you’re thinking, “Yes, Master might be too much for me,” then we ask that you refrain from applying and look forward to having you participate in our Intermediate/Advance workshops.

If we believe that the level you have chosen is not a good fit for you, we may contact you personally again.
We have to reserve seats in the restaurant. If you have registered for the opening dinner and we have also reserved a seat for you, please remember that the restaurant is prepared for a certain number of guests. It is therefore important that you stick to the information you provided when registering. Unfortunately, in the past it has happened that participants have registered for social activities but then did not show up. And that is not good for the restaurant in question.
If you no longer know exactly which social activity you registered for shortly before the Zouk Family Meeting, please contact us again by email: ZFM-ZoukDresden@gmx.de. We will be happy to help you.
If you want to cancel your registration for a social activity, please let us know by email at least 2 weeks before the start. Thank you.

The Party- and Social Pass includes all parties and the program on Sunday.
The Full Pass includes the Party Pass and all Zouk-Workshops.

Your ZFM-Team: Robby, Ronny, Ilka und Dana
This time our team consists of four ZFM enthusiasts from the Dresden Zouk community who have taken on the organization with a lot of attention to detail:
Ronny & Ilka: have organized the delicious Sunday brunch the last few times
Robby: has experience in event organisation and is active in the Dresden ZOUK and UrbanKIZZ scene
Dana: organized the Zouk Family Meetings 2011 – 2019, together with Stephan
We are a great community in Dresden. Since we are all sometimes very busy or otherwise prevented from doing so in our “normal” lives, not everyone always has the capacity to organize a Zouk Family Meeting. By expanding the number of organization members, we can better cushion bottlenecks, enrich the Zouk scene with a lot of energy and ensure great events.
We are a safe space
Everyone should feel accepted and comfortable regardless of gender, sexuality, skin color, religion or ethnicity. We do not tolerate any form of discrimination, anti-semitism, racism, sexism or ableism. Hate symbols and such like are not welcome. We also do not tolerate assaultive behavior, unwanted sexual advances, comments or other harassment.
Prices and refunds
The date of receipt of payment generally applies as the registration date and therefore the currently valid price level.
The pass can be transferred to another person until 26th of October 2025 (the difference to the next price level must be paid). The participant is responsible for transferring the pass. The participant must provide the ZFM organisation team with the information of the new contact by email to zfm-zoukdresden@gmx.de. There is an additional processing fee of €10 for the passport transfer, which must be paid to us within 7 days of notification of the transfer.
The ticket price cannot be refunded.
Photos and Videos
During our event, our media team will take photos and videos for promotional purposes. Please let us know directly when you register (zfm-zoukdresden@gmx.de) or the photographer if you do not wish to be photographed or filmed.
Insurance
Buyers are liable for any damage caused at the venue itself and for personal accidents; the ZFM organisation is not responsible.
The organisers reserve the right to change dance instructors, DJs, workshops, parties, programmes, venues, event dates and other details without prior notice. The organisers are not liable for any loss or damage caused by the purchase of tickets or participation in the event.
Street shoes are not permitted in the dance halls and studios.
By participating, the attendee agrees to the terms and conditions of this site, even if not in their native language.

Social Program

Saturday Workshop & Party
• Workshops: On Saturday, you can participate in either the two Intermediate/Advanced workshops or the two Master workshops.
• Party: Saturday’s theme: Day of the Dead! It’ll be floral, spooky, and colorful all at once. We welcome everyone to dress or paint according to the theme. You can find inspiration on our banner or online.
Brunch & Dance
Bring-your-own brunch at the Kubanamé dance studio:
• Bring or pay: You can either bring your own treats (worth 7-10 €) or pay a small fee of €15 € to participate in the brunch.
• Please be sure to bring your own plates, bowls, cutlery, and cups. NOTE! We will not provide any dishes or cutlery!

Drinks and snacks
•Parties: Drinks are included. Please bring your own cups and take them home after each party. We do not provide glasses or paper cups.
• We will provide a variety of snacks at the parties.
• Welcome dinner at restaurant Enchilada Dresden: Drinks and food are at your own expense.
• Workshops: Please bring your own drinks.
• ATTENTION! Drinking vessels are not allowed on the floor! Please always place bottles/cups/glasses on the tables or on the bar and wipe up any spills immediately. A bucket and rag are available at the bar.
Important information about the “Kubanamé Dance Studio” location
• Entrance: Diagonally opposite the carousel at Elbepark, to the right of the “play” bowling alley and to the left of the entrance to the “UCI” cinema.
• Door code: There is a locked door inside the Kubaname dance studio. All participants will receive a code for this door via email (last information email). You will need this code to enter the cloakroom and the dance studio.
• Cloakroom: Please remove your street shoes there! A few lockers are available (€1 deposit). If possible, please share a locker with several people. Please leave large luggage in the cloakroom under the stairs.
• Parking: Free in the underground parking garage of the bowling alley, UCI cinema, and Höffner cinema.
• Public transport: The “Elbepark” tram and bus stop is just 100 meters from the dance studio.
